Data at Rest:

·        Place the server in DMZ (Demilltarized Zone) so that a secure zone will be created through dual firewall which will provide additional layer of security from internal and external attack to the LAN (Searchsecurity.techtarget.com 2016) Resources of LAN will be accessible through DMZ but internal local area network will not be reachable to hackers.


  •             DMZ Protecting servers from external and internal attack

  •             Latest security patches should be installed.

  •            Unnecessary service pot should not be opened.

    1.     Use VPN both main office and branch office for safe data transmission. 
    2.     Use SSLVPN to encrypt data to keep the data safe.

    1.     Software applications should be installed which allow user to password protect individual documents.
    2.     Full disk encryption should be used to encrypt the whole disk.
